Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi
Project Overview
In 2001, the site was still an undeveloped beach. The opportunity required vision, speed, and alignment across ownership, brand, and design partners.
Role & Contribution
• Negotiation of a 15‑year hotel management agreement with Kempinski
• Alignment across ownership, Kempinski technical services, and WATG throughout design and delivery
• Stakeholder coordination to maintain strategic and technical pace
Outcome
The hotel opened on schedule for the 2005 Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit — a critical milestone establishing the Emirates Palace as one of the region's most iconic luxury destinations.
